Well first,
building a bazillion towers that shoot fast and not strong is better than having two cannons that are strong. At first it's not buy in the middle to the end it is needed, especially when super fast units come by.
also place turrets near corners, where and where the track doubles back, to get the maximum amount of attack time from each tower.
finally if you DO buy the really hard hitting, slow shooting cannons, place them right on the inside corner of the trackCan someone give me some tips on how to beat tower defence games?
It really depends on what kind of TD it is, or if its a TD at all. If you can place your towers anywhere, so that you can make a path, or maze, for the creeps to follow then its actually not called a TD. Its considered a Maul. For Maul's just make a really long maze for the Creeps to follow out of the cheapest towers, once your maze if complete just upgrade those towers. Now for an actually TD line the Creep path with cheap tower and simply upgrade them. It varies allot however, some TD's massing towers will simply fail and just maxing out three or four towers would be the best way to go. But the sure fire way to coming up with a great strategies is simply fooling around and finding out what works best. And the number one thing to do is... have fun!
